Ms Pua Lay Hoon, Chief Nurse, Woodlands HealthMs Pua Lay Hoon is the Chief Nurse of Woodlands Health (WH), Singapore’s newest integrated healthcare campus serving the northern population. With over 30 years of experience in nursing and healthcare leadership, she has played a pivotal role in shaping clinical services, talent development, and operational readiness at WH. Ms Pua began her career in critical care at Tan Tock Seng Hospital and later transitioned into nursing education after completing her Bachelor and Master of Nursing (Education) in Australia. A recipient of the President’s Award for Nurses (2015), she is widely recognized for her contributions to nursing education, including the development of structured clinical training programs and interprofessional learning frameworks. Her foundation in nursing education continues to shape her leadership, empowering teams through mentorship, clarity of purpose, and a deep commitment to professional growth. At WH, she oversees nursing services and drives innovative care delivery while building future-ready capabilities through strategic workforce planning. Ms Pua envisions WH as the “Hospital of Choice,” anchored by a nursing team that exemplifies the 4Cs: Commitment, Competence, Confidence, and Cohesiveness. She also chairs the NHG Nursing Professional Development Workgroup and serves on the MOH Advanced Practice Nurse Review Committee, contributing to national standards in nursing accreditation and licensing. Ms Geraldine Ng, Deputy Director of Nursing, Woodlands HealthDr. Geraldine Ng is the Deputy Director of Nursing, overseeing nursing services in the Emergency Department, Cardiac Centre, and Department of Radiology. She holds a Doctorate of Nursing Practice and is an Advanced Practice Nurse in General Medicine with extensive experience in Emergency Nursing. A key leader in clinical service development, she spearheaded the establishment of acute medical wards, driving improvements in patient care, nursing practice, and service integration across specialties. |

Ms Audrey Kon, Senior Nurse Clinician, Woodlands HealthAudrey is an experienced nurse who loves learning and finding new ways to improve healthcare through technology. She has both nursing experience and coding skills, which helps her bring fresh ideas to healthcare challenges. Her diverse educational journey after her nursing diploma began with an Advanced Diploma in Mass Communications, followed by her nursing degree and an Advanced Diploma in Nursing. In 2012, she received the MOH Nurses' Merit Award for her work, and later completed her Masters in Health Administration. Audrey's interest in technology led her to win 'Build For Good' hackathon by Open Government Products in 2024, which earned her an invitation on stage to launch Smart Nation 2.0 with Prime Minister Wong. Beyond technology, she has also designed clinic spaces, bringing her eye for improvement to the physical healthcare environment. She enjoys working on healthcare improvement projects, finding better ways to care for patients and serves as a union chairperson while mentoring emerging nursing leaders. With her background in both nursing and technology, Audrey brings a unique perspective to healthcare innovation and patient care. |
